4:19 p.m.: A man in north Felton told deputies his live-in girlfriend punched him twice after he refused to give her a ride to her car. He was granted an emergency protection order.

6:57 p.m.: A man on probation was arrested after he was found with a hypodermic needle on the 1300 block of Bear Creek Canyon Road in Boulder Creek.

2:08 a.m.: A Bonny Doon woman on the 1100 block of Pine Flat Road reported that her checking account card number was to make fraudulent Internet purchases.

4 p.m.: Someone spray-painted a black swastika on a tree on the 5500 block of Scotts Valley Drive.

6 p.m.: A man struck his young daughter several times with a hairbrush and his hands on Whispering Pines Drive. The father has a history of violence, and the case was forwarded to Child Protective Services.
10:23 a.m.: A teenager on probation was arrested after he was found with a knife on the 4600 block of Scotts Valley Drive.
