• A large tree fell on power lines along Bear Creek Road in Boulder Creek at 8:15 a.m., knocking out power to 645 customers. Power was fully restored to customers at 3:15 p.m.
Dec. 25
• A storm-related power failure at Hopkins Gulch Road and Bear Creek Road in Boulder Creek cut off electricity to nine customers at 3:15 p.m. Power was restored at 1:45 a.m., early the next day.

Dec. 24
• Someone stole a vehicle from a driveway on the 600 block of Single Spur Court at 1 a.m. The vehicle was found later in the day in Capitola by the California Highway Patrol.
• A man was found intoxicated in his vehicle at 8:55 p.m. on the 100 block of Carbonero Way. He was unable to care for himself and was taken to jail.
• A 30 year-old woman and 32-year-old man reported a burglary that took place the day before at a home on the 100 block of Viki Court. There are no suspects.
Dec. 22
• Two graffiti markings were found and cleaned up by an officer at 12:41 p.m. on the 6000 block of La Madrona Drive.
• A 58-year-old man on the 400 block of Whispering Pines Drive reported at 9 a.m. that his wallet had been stolen and his credit cards used at various places in Santa Cruz. The man wasn’t sure if the wallet was taken in Scotts Valley or in Santa Cruz.
• A 38-year-old woman was stopped and then arrested on suspicion of hiding merchandise in her purse and trying to leave a store on the 200 block of Mount Hermon Road at 8:15 p.m.
Dec. 20
• During a warrant search on the 4800 block of Scotts Valley Drive, a young person’s urine sample returned positive for THC, and the youngster was arrested and taken to juvenile hall at 7:03 p.m.
• A man pulled out a baseball bat during a confrontation with another man about his driving and attitude at 10:05 p.m. on the 200 block of Mount Hermon Road.

Dec. 25
• A man was caught running down the street naked after neighbors on the 1500 block of Lakeside Drive in Felton at midnight. The man couldn’t tell deputies his name, where he lived or whether he had taken drugs. He was arrested and booked into county jail.

• A man reported that another man battered him at 3:40 p.m. on the 13000 block of Highway 9 in Boulder Creek.
