8:36 a.m., Occurred at Snack Shack Little League on Tabor Dr., Scotts Valley. Scam. Caller would like a phone call from an officer regarding a scam targeting the SV Little League. Subject sent an email to the treasurer pretending to be the SV Little League president with false contact and invoice info requesting funds be deposited into a different account.

Oct. 9

11:03 p.m., Metro Center on Kings Village Road, Disturbance — Subject was very hostile and refusing to get off the bus and threatening to hit the driver. Male, late 20’s, with backpack. Subj was upset over missing the last bus to Boulder Creek and will be getting on to the next bus to Felton to get closer to his residence.
10:36 p.m., CVS Pharmacy Mt. Hermon Road, Traffic Stop — Officer initiated activity at and conducted an enforcement stop. The registered owner was the sole occupant of the vehicle. Driver was found to be operating his vehicle on a license suspended for DUI, and a records check of him revealed a warrant for his arrest out of Tuolumne County. Man was cited and released, his vehicle, a white Chevrolet Silverado was towed from the scene.
10 a.m., Victor Square, Scotts Valley, Commerical Burglary — Storage units broken into. The reporting party advised that sometime over the weekend cut the locks on two Conex containers behind the listed business. A $500 coil of copper wire was taken from one of the containers. The caller did not have an exact time frame or surveillance cameras on site, and did not wish to file a police report. He just wanted to document the event.
7 a.m., Oxford Instruments Xray Tech on El Pueblo Rd, Commerical Burglary — Storage containers were broken into. Two suspects were captured by surveillance video at approximately 11:23 p.m. in a white Ford panel van. The suspects used bolt cutters to access two storage sheds on the rear of the property. The suspects took several thousand dollars worth of copper and tools.
2:26 p.m., Tabor Dr, Scotts Valley, Domestic — Reporting party has a restraining order. He just saw the female drive past his house and rang his doorbell multiple times and put out a cigarette on his porch and drove off. In a Honda Civic 2 door.

Oct. 8

9:39 p.m., Tabor Way, Scotts Valley, Domestic Disturbance — Lady knocking on reporting party’s front door crying and she is now sitting in his driveway possibly in a fight with her husband. Investigating officer spoke with both parties, confirmed verbal disturbance only. Parties are now separated and will be staying apart for the rest of the night. NFA.

Oct. 7

5: 03 p.m., O’reilly Auto Parts, Mt Hermon Rd, Scotts Valley, Traffic Stop — Investigating officer conducted a records check on a vehicle. The records check revealed the vehicle’s registration was expired as of 8/12/2017. The vehicle, however, was displaying an orange 2018 tab. Officer contacted the driver who advised he was borrowing the vehicle from his mother and had no knowledge of the tab. A records check of revealed his driver’s license was suspended with good service. Driver was cited and released.
12:32 p.m., 76 Gas Station, Mt. Hermon Road, Drugs — Officer was driving behind white Audi and observed a large cloud of smoke roll out of the driver’s window when the window was rolled down. Officer immediately recognized the odor of the smoke as burnt marijuana. Officer stopped the vehicle and observed un-burnt marijuana in plain sight in the driver’s door panel. The driver inquired as to why he was stopped. Officer explained that he was stopped as he was operating a motor vehicle while smoking marijuana. Officer asked how he was smoking the marijuana, to which he replied he smoked a “joint”. Officer asked if he had a valid medical recommendation. Driver provided officer with a expired medical marijuana recommendation card. Officer had driver exit his vehicle and placed him in the rear seat of his patrol vehicle. Officer explained to driver that he was only detained pending a search of his vehicle. Officer conducted a search of the vehicle and located pounds of packaged marijuana, pre-packaged canisters of concentrated cannabis and a large sum of money. Officer collected the aforementioned items as evidence. Officer had driver exit the patrol vehicle and conducted a field sobriety test. Driver did not pass the test satisfactorily and was subsequently arrested for DUI. Transported man to Dominican Hospital where a sample of his blood was taken with his consent. Officer then transported man to jail where he was booked.
