Dorothy Johnston

A memorial service has been held for former Ben Lomond resident Dorothy Johnston, who died peacefully of natural causes with her daughters by her side. She was 95.
Mrs. Johnston was born in Kent, England, and came to the United States with her parents and siblings in 1922.
After moving to the U.S., she lived in many areas of California, including Hillsborough, the Bay Area and the Santa Cruz Mountains.
Relatives said she spent her life caring for and loving her family.
She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Santa Cruz Chapter, while she lived in the Ben Lomond area.
Mrs. Johnston is survived by two daughters, Susan Jolly and Sandra Derby, both of Lincoln; a brother, Geoff Audsley of Evergreen, Colo.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three nieces and four nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Russell M. Johnston; a brother, Richard Audsley, and his wife, Mary; and a sister, Marjorie Audsley Deremer, and her husband, George.
A memorial service was held Oct. 18 in Lincoln.
