Fenton Silvey

Felton native Fenton Silvey died Jan. 28 in Bend, Ore. He was 87.
Mr. Silvey, son of Thomas and Maude (Luttrell) Silvey, was born and raised in Felton. He worked as an engineer at a local quarry and owned and operated F.E. Silvey Road and Concrete Materials.
Mr. Silvey moved to Gardnerville, Nev., in 1997. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Santa Cruz and Gardnerville for 41 years and enjoyed hunting big game, gardening and welding.
Mr. Silvey is survived by his spouse of 40 years, Jane Silvey of Bend; children, Randy Silvey of Bend, Gary Silvey of Santa Cruz, John Morrisette of Manteca and Anne Morrisette of Walnut Creek; sister, Pearl Rossi of Grass Valley; and seven grandchildren.
Baird Funeral Home, in Bend, is handling arrangements. A celebration of Mr. Silvey’s life will be scheduled at a later date.
