The Recovery Permit Center (RPC) to assist CZU Lightning Complex survivors with all aspects of permitting for the rebuilding process recently opened, the County of Santa Cruz announced.

The County is offering technical assistance, streamlined permit processes, information about pre-application clearances and support as residents begin the rebuilding process. Residents are encouraged to contact the RPC as early as possible to discuss rebuilding plans and to learn more about the process, the County stated in a press release.

“We encourage all residents to begin discussing their rebuilding plans with us as soon as they can,” Planning Director Kathy Molloy said in the release. “By having these conversations early, we can help fulfill our mission of making the rebuilding process as smooth as possible for residents impacted by the fire.”

The PRC is open weekdays from 8am-5pm (closed noon-1pm for lunch). To schedule a virtual appointment, call 831-454-5323, email RP*@sa*************.us or self-schedule a virtual appointment by visiting rpcappt.timetap.com. Limited in-person appointments are also available if needed.

The PRC will close between the Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays.
