The free Music at Skypark concert series to benefit Scotts Valley public school music programs continues Sunday, July 31, with perennial favorite Houserockers and its foot-stomping rock sound.
The band won KFOX’s 2010 Last Band Standing contest and will appear for a third consecutive year at Music at Skypark.
Opening the concert will be The Coffis Brothers, featuring the folk rock sound of Jamie and Kellen Coffis from Ben Lomond.
Music at Skypark concerts are the last Sundays of June, July, August and September.
The shows run from 3:30 to about 7:30 p.m. at Skypark, 361 Kings Village Road, in Scotts Valley.
Admission is free, but all net profits from sales of food, alcohol, T-shirts and raffle tickets support the music programs at local public schools. About $7,000 from last year’s concerts is credited with keeping music active in local schools.
