A free financial planning clinic sponsored by the Scotts Valley Chamber of Commerce will take place in Scotts Valley this month.
The clinic, “A Keeping of Your Green,” is scheduled from 2 to 6 p.m. March 16 at the Scotts Valley Community Center, 360 Kings Village Road.
The event will allow the public to meet individually with a financial planner for 20 or 30 minutes and ask specific questions, as well as attend several workshops.
The schedule includes two sessions.
The first is “Retirement Planning Basics” at 2 p.m., led by Stephen Hoversten of Modern Woodman Fraternal Financial.
A second, “Retirement Income Strategies” by Ted George of George Financial Advisors, will follow.
One-on-one counseling with financial planners will take place from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
There will be no selling, product marketing or soliciting.
Planners include Hoversten; George; Bob Finke of Center for Financial Affairs; Michael Chamberlain and Gary Cohen of Chamberlain Financial Planning LLC; and Jennifer Bush of Johnson Lyman Wealth Advisors
Satellite Telework Centers will provide the digital projector for the seminar, and Peets Coffee will provide free coffee.
