A Gingerbread Cookie Barn and barnyard made by Press Banner food columnist Colly Gruczelak was given to a very appreciative young boy on Dec. 3 at the annual Christmas Party of the Lichen Oaks Adaptive Riding Center, LOARC, Graham Hill Road, Felton. The 8-year-old has been unable to speak his entire life.
The 2nd Annual LOACR Christmas Party was attended by 80 people including 13 students of the riding program along with their families. Testimonials were given by several who have completed the program.
Volunteers cooked and served a traditional ham dinner and Santa Claus made an appearance. There was a sing a-long of carols after the dinner.
