A celebration of life and prayer circle for Gordon Allgrove, 67, is planned for Saturday, April 23, and April 30. The longtime Felton and Scotts Valley resident died in San Jose.
Born in Santa Cruz to Wallace and Helen Allgrove, Mr. Allgrove was a U.S. Marine and worked for Seagate, Applied Technology, Unisys. He also owned FAMOS.
Family said Mr. Allgrove loved boating, restoring cars, gardening, traveling, visiting and documenting spiritual sites and designing pottery, and he played several musical instruments.
He was a member of the NorCal Chevy Truck Club, Inliners and Pet Network small-dog rescue group.
Mr. Allgrove is survived by his significant other, Roxane Hetzel of San Jose; brother, Stan Allgrove of Ben Lomond; daughter, Jennifer Allgrove of Tracy; two grandchildren; and four nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Wayne Allgrove.
The celebration of life and prayer circle will begin at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 23, at Twin Lakes Beach in Santa Cruz, followed by a second ceremony April 30 at the Divine Science Church, 1540 Hicks Ave., in San Jose.
