Caltrans announced today that construction to repair a major slipout on Highway 236 in Boulder Creek will be completed on Friday, Aug. 7.
Since late June, flaggers and a one-way traffic signal have guided traffic on the rural highway while crews shored up the damaged highway.
Originally, work was scheduled to be completed by the end of August. However, timely construction pushed the completion date up to this Friday.
Work is not completely done on Highway 236. Crews will be relocating some utilities at the end of August, requiring one-way traffic control for a week at the end of the month.
