A funeral Mass is planned Saturday, Aug. 14, to celebrate the life of Isabel Lucia Zanotto Caffrey, known as “Liz,” who died Aug. 3 in San Diego at age 56.
Mrs. Caffrey was born in Venezuela in 1956 to Andrea and Rosa Zanotto and moved to Scotts Valley, where her family lived for more than 25 years, before moving to San Diego.
Survivors include her husband, Mike Caffrey, and children, Jason, Preston and Wade Caffrey, all of San Diego.
She is also survived by siblings Tony Zanotto, Conrad Zanotto, Inez Zanotto and Leo Zanotto, all of San Jose, Jessie Pullus and Frank Zanotto, both of Oregon, Bianca Malmin of Arizona, Maria Joregensen and Daniel Zanotto, both of Los Gatos, Fred Zanotto of Scotts Valley and Marie Hemeon of Gilroy; two grandchildren; and more than 60 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Trevor Caffrey; her father, Andrea Zanotto; and a sister, Sylvana Duprel.
Saturday’s Mass will begin at 11 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1200 Redmond Ave., in San Jose.
