Jackie Clark

Jacqueline D. “Jackie” Clark of Brookdale died peacefully in her sleep while under the care of Hospice of Santa Cruz County. She was 70.
Mrs. Clark was born in Chicago, the daughter of the late William Berner and Dorothy Lieshnering. She married Klaus Clark on Feb. 15, 1978, in Reno, Nev.
Mrs. Clark was a longtime resident of the San Lorenzo Valley who worked hard to make the valley a better place to live. She was the manager of the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store in Boulder Creek until she retired in 1999, and she enjoyed traveling, gardening, and creating artwork during her retirement years.
She was a member of St. Michael’s Church and noble grand of the Boulder Creek Rebekah Lodge. She served on the Boulder Creek Parks and Recreation Board.
Mrs. Clark is survived by her husband, Klaus Clark of Brookdale; daughter Mary Unruh-Tipton and son-in-law Andrew Tipton of Greenfield; daughter Laura Unruh and son-in-law Robert Parmenter of Santa Cruz; stepson Chris Clark and daughter-in-law Denise Clark of El Dorado Hills; and stepson Michael Clark and daughter-in-law Erin Clark of San Diego; sister Jeannette Cooper and brother-in-law James Cooper of Wausau, Wisc.; and four grandchildren.
