A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 22 for former Scotts Valley resident John David Lusk who died in Portland, Ore. surrounded by friends and family. He was 46.
Mr. Lusk was born in San Jose to Kenneth and Nancy Lusk and attended Vine Hill Elementary School in Scotts Valley. He met his life-long best friend Jeff Harrington in fourth grade.

Mr. Lusk earned a Bachelors of Science degree in electrical engineering in 1989.
Mr. Lusk had many friends and loved outdoor activities including fishing, tennis and camping. He was also known for his interest in music. Friends and family knew him as the one who always organized activities and was the glue that brought many people together.
