An Irish wake celebration is planned this weekend to commemorate the life of longtime San Lorenzo Valley resident John “Jack” Sullivan, who died April 15, 2010, in Ben Lomond. He was 85 years old.
Mr. Sullivan was born March 13, 1925. A Ben Lomond resident, Mr. Sullivan worked in the real estate industry in Ben Lomond for 25 years. He was a runner and made many friends in the San Lorenzo Valley.
He is survived by his son, John J. Sullivan Jr. of Boulder Creek; daughter, Melinda Nickels of Ben Lomond; and one granddaughter.
The wake will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 24, at Monty’s Log Cabin, 5755 Highway 9, in Ben Lomond.
Mr. Sullivan’s ashes will be scattered in Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park.
