For the seventh year in a row, Music at Skypark, aka MASP, the local summer event to raise money for ScottsValley schools music education program was a huge success! The business people of the community were exceptionally generous. On Wednesday, November 11th, Kiwanis of the Valley hosted a thank you dinner and gave out recognition plaques.
The total amount presented to Scotts Valley Unified School District Superintendent Penny Weaver was an astonishing $20,000!
Appropriately, representatives of two MASP bands provided entertainment: Skinny Ricky and the Casual Encounters and Bourbon Bros.
Some of the businesses who had representatives present to receive recognition for donations or gifts in kind were: Business With Pleasure, Dr. Cline-Fortunato, Leland Automotive, Scotts Valley Property Management, Scotts Valley Press-Banner and John A. Stevens, D.D.S.

The participating vendors usually donate their net profits to the school music program. This year’s participating vendors were: Bruno’s BBQ, Hallcrest, Peet’s Coffee, Mt.Mike’s Pizza and Baskin Robbins.
