A memorial service is planned in April for Lee McMillan Johnson, who died Friday, March 18, in Scotts Valley. She was 88.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Alabama to Edwin Lee McMillan and Ena June Weissinger. She attended Judsou College in Marion, Ala., and received a bachelor’s degree in business. She also earned a bachelor’s degree in music from San Francisco State University.
Mrs. Johnson was a classical musician and worked as a music teacher. Throughout her life, she lived in Alabama, Massachusetts and California. She was a member of Felton Bible Church and Tice Valley Methodist Church.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her son, Ross M. Johnson of Brawley; daughter, Julie Usinger of Felton; two grandsons; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, C. Ross Johnson, who died in 2003, and her sister, Elizabeth Geigler Lee, who died in 2010.
A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. April 23 at Oak Tree Villa, 100 Lockewood Lane, in Scotts Valley. An online guest book is at www.pacificgardenschapel.com.
