Editor,
Having read the article about the candidates for the Board of Directors of Lompico Water District with interest, I took note of the statements made by incumbent Director Sherwin Gott.
As president of the Board of Directors at the time, I wrote the letter of censure for Director Gott. The letter of censure was written as the result of frustration with Director Gott’s egregious conduct during board meetings.
At the time, the Sentinel published an article about the letter of censure — available in the following link: http://www.santacruzsentinel.com/ci_19175726?IADID=Search-www.santacruzsentinel.com-www.santacruzsentinel.com
The letter of censure was an attempt to get his attention to change his conduct, as he would not follow Robert’s Rules of Order, which by ordinance the board is required to follow during meetings.
His conduct was extremely disruptive and caused meetings to be unnecessarily long, by repeating his statements over and over.
As for his disagreements with the rest of the board and voting, examination of the public records will find many unanimous votes on agenda items.
The actual letter of censure is a public document and is available to read if anyone wishes to.
Richard Harrington,
Lompico
