EDITOR,
I was sorry to read Mark Rosenberg’s pro-nukes article in the latest Press-Banner (“Whether to invest in a nuclear future,” Talk About Money, Page 9, June 11). Your paper lost some credibility with me after printing such nonsense. I have been installing solar electric systems in this county for 22 years, and many of my customers report that their solar system meets 100 percent of their electricity usage. Such a system has become affordable and is safe and works. Can we say the same for nuclear energy in its long and checkered history? No. Would Mr. Rosenberg have us investing in BP stocks next? The more support we give green technologies, the better chance we have of finding sustainable solutions before it’s too late for us.
