Letter: Hats off to Dominican Hospital mobile unit

EDITOR,
The mission of Dominican Hospital is to continuously improve the health of people in our community. Dominican’s goal is improving access to care for the underinsured and uninsured patients in Santa Cruz County.
Valley Churches United Missions provides the small, $15 fee to those in great need of this valuable service in San Lorenzo and Scotts Valley areas. The feedback from the clients we have referred has been that they received excellent care from their mid-level practitioners and referrals without additional cost to the patient.
During these hard times, Dominican Hospital has stepped up to the plate by providing the mobile unit and staff, helping keep down the high cost of emergency care for so many of those unable to afford health care. We thank you for this valuable service.
