Letter: Interesting consensus

EDITOR,
I find it interesting, and telling, that all the former and potential candidate’s of the 5th District Supervisor race have endorsed Bruce McPherson for the County Board. Bill Smallman, George Wylie, John Abel, and I all have compelling reasons to support and vote for Bruce. As current and past elected officials we believe that Bruce’s understanding of the issues, whether financial or social, make him the best choice to represent the 5th District
My personal reasons for supporting Bruce are his support of public safety, both law enforcement and fire protection, protecting our natural resources and his vast experience working cooperatively with a variety of elected officials. This experience will allow him to work cooperatively with the other board members to make sure that the 5th District gets the resources that we are entitled to and make all of Santa Cruz County a better place live.
