Editor,
There is a lot to like about Jim Hart.
For years, Jim has been really involved in the Scotts Valley community as a volunteer with local youth.
As coach of the varsity high school girls’ basketball team, he won Prep2Prep’s 2014 Section Coach of the Year award and was also named Cal-Hi Sports’ 2014 Division IV Coach of the Year.
He has the support and endorsement of the three sheriffs he has worked for, and he has diligently prepared himself to take over the office.
He has wide support from all of our elected officials: Congressmembers Sam Farr and Anna Eshoo; State Sen. Bill Monning; State Assemblymembers Mark Stone and Luis Alejo; Supervisor Bruce McPherson and hundreds of others.
At the end of the day, we should consider our county and ourselves very lucky that we have someone like Jim Hart who is so committed to our community, our youth, and so prepared to take on this job. Thank you Jim!
