EDITOR,
I certainly hope I am not the only community member writing to convey my disappointment in the selection of March 5 cover story pictures. It illustrates to me that the Press-Banner is now clearly more interested in sensationalism than protecting the young children involved.
As a representation of our community values and what we deem important, I think you have made a grotesque miscalculation. This area has long been known to support each other in times of need, especially when children are involved. Showing grisly details of the crime scene does not add anything of value to the story, nor does it offer any assistance to the grieving process of two young people.
I hope you take time to address where your values lie within our community and make steps to make responsible decisions moving forward.
