EDITOR,
I just read in the Santa Cruz Sentinel paper that the city of Scotts Valley has decided to put a hold on the installation of the new Pacific Gas and Electric Co. SmartMeters. Councilman Randy Johnson said that “Whenever a person feels they’ve lost control and can’t maintain their environment in their most important space, mainly their home, with that there is anxiety.”
It’s too bad that he and the rest of the council didn’t feel that way when they decided to put the propane tanks directly across from the residents of the South Navarra area. I guess it really doesn’t matter to them if the South Navarra residents feel anxious about living across from a potential hazard, just as long as they get their town center.
