Letter: Quick pothole fix in Scotts Valley should be example for county

EDITOR,
I know this venue is not for “Thank You” notes but I have to send a big well done to the Scotts Valley Police Department and Scotts Valley Public Works. A rather large (wheel bender) pothole appeared on Lockhart Gulch last week. I called the SVPD to report it and it was repaired within 2 hours. 
The County of Santa Cruz could take a lesson from these guys. I do understand their work area is much larger, however, requests for road repairs with the county seem to get put at the bottom of a huge pile and can take weeks or months. Just sayin.’
