Letter: Rec board needs patience, passion

EDITOR,
I encourage the residents of Boulder Creek and Brookdale to re-elect Tess Fitzgerald and Brian Valdivia to the Boulder Creek Recreation and Park District Board of Directors. Over the past four years, we have seen the revitalization of all of our parks and rec hall, more community events and programs, the hiring of a vibrant new district manager and an increase in revenue while operating within a shrinking budget. While we haven’t always agreed with each other, we have learned to work as a team, using our different strengths to move the district forward and improve our community. I believe that the best candidate to add to our team is Kim Main. Kim is intelligent and easy to work with and will bring a positive attitude and fresh perspective to our board. We need directors who can assess what the residents want and need and make decisions that are financially sound and in the best interest of the district as a whole. The position also requires patience, passion, and more patience. We are fortunate to have such competent community members willing to serve. Please join me in voting for Kim Main, Tess Fitzgerald and Brian Valdivia.
