Letter: Stop the gerrymandering

Our county supervisors are at it again, but this gerrymandering of the 5th and 1st supervisor districts is a new low.
Supervisors Mark Stone and John Leopold are being as political and back-door dealing as we have ever seen. I have lived here all of my life, and I have never seen such a display of petty politics and neglect of the voters of Scotts Valley.
They disregard their own criteria and are trying to split the community of interest in Scotts Valley with no rationale.
They disregard their own criteria when it comes to population and have swapped district boundaries with each other with almost no change to the population of the 5th District, which is what the whole reason was for redistricting.
I look to the remaining supervisors to do what’s right — do not let yourselves be tarnished by what these two are trying to do.
