EDITOR,
Last week I wrote Supervisor Mark Stone and the Press-Banner questioning why a downed tree on a sunny day left Lompico Road closed from before dawn into the  night, forcing all residents to make the perilous climb up and around narrow, winding Lake Boulevard.
I am pleased to report that, two days later, I received a copy of a letter Stone sent to the director of public works — on the very day of my inquiry — asking him to look into and address the situation. I hope there is effective follow-through.
I am glad to have a local elected official who is so responsive and communicative about the expressed concerns of his constituents. Thank you, Supervisor Stone.
