EDITOR,
To everyone who helped clear Highway 9 on Dec. 19 when a large tree fell across the highway from the Tyrolean Inn and into our building: Not knowing what to expect when we received the call, we too loaded saws, gas and ran. Little did we know there were sawyers already doing the job!
Private citizens far and away did this miraculous job. In less than an hour and the highway was cut clear. The tractor man at the feed store, Jorah, came and pushed rounds out of the way. One saw man had a 36-inch bar on his saw. How lucky can we get! So, to them and everyone else who helped, Cal-Trans included, we were truly blessed.
