Protect California by voting ‘yes’ on Prop 50
A letter printed Oct. 24 implied that our upcoming ballot proposition is a power grab. The writer stated, “Now let’s talk about power grab. How was Proposition 50 put on the ballot? It is a legislative constitutional amendment that will be on the ballot for California voters on Nov. 4, 2025.”
As the writer himself explains, the proposition is being put in front of the voters so they can weigh in. This is not, in any way, a “power grab.” Trying to imply that is misleading.
It isn’t as bad as the outright lies I have seen in letters to local publications, some of which written by members of the county Republican committee, but still, it’s disappointing.
Let’s fight the people who are trying to grab power away from Californians. Vote “yes” on Proposition 50 and protect our state in the U.S. House of Representatives.
