EDITOR,
I have been watching the debate about allowing two new tobacco stores open (one right near our middle school), while also watching the debate about preventing a medical marijuana clinic from opening in Scotts Valley. The two stores that greatly contribute to suffering are allowed to operate in our town, while the store that can help alleviate suffering is banned. What does this say about our City Council? That they value the tax revenue that comes from selling poison to our citizens more?
