Letter: Watching county supervisors

Steve Homan’s expose about the county supervisors changing the allocation of already approved tax revenues to choke our fire protection, then seek a new tax increase, is pure politics (“Supervisors’ decision shortchanges rural fire protection,” Commentary, April 9).
Homan said they have hijacked our money, screamed poor and are now threatening to close some fire stations up here if we don’t approve more taxes! Quietly redirecting $15 million from Proposition 172 away from where it was intended is grounds to vote them all out. No wonder there is a national movement against more taxes.
The supervisors should know that the TEA Party is alive and watching them in Santa Cruz County. We’re “Taxed Enough Already.”
