Letter: This has to stop
A significant number of young people in SLV defend atrocious and potentially lethal behavior by claiming that they are more “LOCAL” than you, and that you don’t matter. A young person, driving extremely recklessly, almost caused a major accident today, brushing it off by saying, “I had a bad day,” “This doesn’t concern you,” and “You can’t do this in SLV.” Excuse me for being angry and trying to talk sense into someone who almost killed himself, me, and another motorist. This perp showed zero remorse.

Letter: Another Mountain Lion Sighting
Editor,
I have been a resident of Boulder Creek for 38 years, but I have never seen a mountain lion close to my home in Huckleberry Woods in broad daylight. Today I was walking my 100-pound golden retriever in my neighborhood at 3:45 p.m., and we came upon a large mountain lion lying in a field at the corner of Middleton Drive and West Road. It is a small field less than 20 feet from the roadway and very near a fence of a neighbor’s yard.
We walked by with just a curious look from him/her, but it scared the hell out of me. My dog was oblivious. The lion was no doubt stalking the overpopulation of deer in our neighborhood for a kill. There were six to nine deer right near us across the street, but to say the least it was very unnerving. When I came down from my walk, he had moved. This may be the same lion who killed the sheep in broad daylight up the road a few weeks ago. I don’t know who to report this to or what can be done about it, but feel free to publish this if you wish as a letter to the editor to alert others.
Sincerely,
Sandy Sund, Boulder Creek
