Shout-out: Kudos to the staff of 9 Burger

Some friends of ours have shared their raves about the 9 Burger Restaurant on 15520 Highway 9 in Boulder Creek.
It’s under new management with two brothers Masood and Yousef Madani as the owner- operators.
We are extending our review and raves on the food, service and its atmosphere.
Entering the establishment in a forest setting there is plenty of room for dining, parties, and parking for touring bicyclists, motorcycles, and cars.
We found the food great, as well as the special of the house.
Waitress Bridgette served us, eight barbecued smoked pork ribs, with small side salad (not really small), and fries.
We also chose to try the half-order of breaded avocado fries. My husband’s choice was the 1/3-pound Zayante Burger and the build-your-own with cheddar cheese.
Cooks Ranchero and Cardoso, now employed at 9 Burger, came from the Boulder Creek Brewery restaurant, which was recently damaged by fire and closed.
Look for the Operator “GCR” Mike to serve you from his Goble Coffee Roasting Co., offering your choice of coffee, chocolate and more.
We are inviting and highly recommending you come out experience the taste and savor the food, shakes, ice cream and drinks. The beer is local and domestic varieties in bottles or draft.
Excellent values of quality and quantity servings are at 9 Burger. Judge for yourself!

Shout-out: Bonsai show best-attended ever thanks to Mountain Gardener

On behalf of the Santa Cruz Bonsai Kai, I would like to thank the Press-Banner for publishing the wonderful article containing an interview with me in the March 20 issue.
Ms. Jan Nelson, author of the Mountain Gardener section, included all the necessary ingredients within the article that helped our club conduct the best show we’ve ever had at the Museum of Art and History.
As a direct result of the timely and informative article, the Santa Cruz Bonsai Kai’s 27th Annual Bonsai Show held on the 28th and 29th of March, was attended by the largest audience we’ve experienced so far.
We canvassed the audience during the demonstration held each day and found that there were many participants attending as a result of the article’s appearance in the Press-Banner.
We can’t thank you enough and hope that we can have a repeat performance for next year’s show.
