Forty-four homes, businesses and community groups — the most to date — entered the Light Up the Valley competition hosted this month by the San Lorenzo Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Folks were encouraged to decorate their homes and businesses for the holidays and enter the annual contest.
Judges viewed the entries last week, and the awards were announced at the Community Holiday Potluck Dinner on Sunday, Dec. 18, at Felton Community Hall. Chamber board member Bryan Chambers emceed the dinner, attended by 96 people. Beth Hollenbeck provided live musical entertainment.
The dinner and decorating competition were sponsored by the SLV Chamber, Felton Community Hall, the Press-Banner, the SLV Business Directory, Monty’s Log Cabin, Andersen Media and Business Creations Video.
Each winner was awarded a framed certificate and was honored at the dinner.
