AA Division
Angels 11, Red Sox 10
The Angels banged out 24 hits, led by Clay Brown and Reid Olmstead, who went 3-for-3, and Charlie Hayes, who went 2-for-2 with a double. For the Sox, Nick Farinsky went 3-for-3, Mason Cada hit a home run and went 3-for-3, and Nate Alisago went 2-for-2 with a double while scoring a run.
Minors Division
Pirates 11, Red Sox 9
Chris Anderson pitched 2-1/3 innings and allowed three runs while striking out three batters, and Scotty MacCool struck out two to end the game for the Pirates. Zane Saunders went 2-for-3, and Jake Hogan had an RBI for the Bucs. For the Red Sox, Andy Wise went 2-for-3, Luka Makovhtz had a double and scored, and Howard Forehan had a triple and two RBIs.
Giants 6, Yankees 2
The Giants scored six runs on five hits and Manny Smith struck out six while allowing two runs in five innings pitched. Giant Remi Dirck went 2-for-2 and scored. For the Yankees, Ben Kanter scored on a groundout by Elliot Brown after a double in the fourth inning, and Ken Kanter pitched 3-2/3 innings allowing a run.
Majors Division
Phillies 2, Scotts Valley Brewers 1
The Phillies D’Shawn Hopkins pitched a six innings with 15 strikeouts while going 3-for-3 at the plate. Blake Snedker drove in Hopkins with the winning run in the 8th inning. Brewer Trevor Alvarez had a stolen base and scored in the second.
Red Sox 9, Scotts Valley Rangers 3
The Red Sox hammered 11 hits, including 2-for-4 days by Hans Suwinski and Bryce Nunez. Nolan Jameson pitched 2-1/3 innings for the winners and allowed two runs while striking out two. The Rangers’ Travis lane had seven strikeouts in three innings pitched.

AA Division
Mudcats 12, Riverdogs 7
The Mudcats beat the first-place Riverdogs with the help of Lauren Shay’s grand slam over the left-field fence. Teammates Parker Smith and Nolan Haines each had two hits, and Ben Tapia added a single and scored a run.
Knights 16, Volcanoes 7
The Knights were led by multi-hit games from Nico Smith, Gabriel Keith, Bryce Clark, Kyle Smith, Matthew Wu, Jackson Twaddle and Tyler Erwin. The Volcanoes’ Nolan Fish, Anthony Petrini, Taylor McAdams, Jacob Mealiffe, Ryan Linn and Matthew Ellis each had multi-hit games.
Rivercats 13, Volcanoes 12
The Rivercats were powered by 3-for-3 days from Tyler Harris, Mason Sprague and Cade Ammann, while Andre Nice knocked home the game-winning run. Ryan Lynn and Dominic Papagni-Martinez were each 3-for-3 for the Volcanoes, and Jacob Mealiffe was 3-for-4.
Riverdogs 16, Owlz 7
A close game was broken open in the sixth inning as the Riverdogs’ Darryn Snelgrove hit a solo homer over the left-field fence, and seven more runs scored before the inning was over. Riverdog three-hit performers were Anthony Abruzinni, MacKinley Coffey, Tyler Wilson and Masachika Sato. The Owlz’ Lincoln Moses and Veronica Reynolds both had three hits.
AAA Division
White Sox 8, Braves 2
The White Sox scored seven runs in the first two innings and coasted to an 8-2 win led by leadoff hitter Nick Endres, who stretched his streak of reaching base safely to 16 at bats over the past five games. Teammate Jacob Westberg scored two runs and Garrett Fisher threw two scoreless innings in the fifth and sixth to secure the win. Braves catcher Reese Gyllenhammer threw out a runner attempting to steal second.
Majors Division
Giants 22, A’s 12
In this offensive explosion, the Giants’ Jack Palmer hit a two-run homer and singled twice, Tanner Spence singled twice and doubled, and Nathan Pisciotta, Ethan Emanuelson and Josh Anderson each singled three times. For the A’s, Spence Smith singled and tripled, Beau Lawrie had two singles and a walk, Cooper Rains walked three times, Jacob Utic walked twice and Austin Walsh singled.
Giants 6, Cardinals 5
This walkoff Giants win saw what league veterans say was an unprecedented 19-pitch at-bat for the Giants’ Nathan Pisciotta that eventually ended in a strikeout by Cardinals pitcher Drew Collishaw.
Pisciotta singled in another at bat, Gregory Neiger and Tanner Spence each had two hits and Carson Spence drew two walks and scored the winning run on Neiger’s last-inning single. For the Cardinals, A.J. Collishaw was 3-for-4, and his brother Drew, Georgia Parsons and Joe Kim each had two hits.
Cardinals 11, SLV Indians 1
Drew Collishaw threw a one-hit shutout, striking out eight and walking two in a four-inning game. Teammates Jake Wiechman and Owen Rockow were 2-for-2, and Daniel Shamshian had a single and sacrifice fly in two at-bats. Mitchell Kaman had the Indians’ only hit.
