Back from spring break
No games were played during spring break, but the season resumed this week for several games from Scotts Valley Little League. In AAA, a no-hitter gave the Marlins a win over the previously unbeaten Braves, among other action.
AA Division  
Mudcats 6, Redwings 5 
The Mudcats were down 5-0 entering the bottom of the sixth, when consecutive doubles by Jordan Olhava, Shane Burns and Lauren Shay started the team’s comeback. Asher Reynolds, Alex Reynolds and Mason Cato added singles, and Henry Van Pykeren’s two-RBI single ended the game. 
For the Redwings, Eduardo Rocha and Jackson Sutter were both 3-for-3, and Josh Flores and Tyler Costere each had two hits.   
AAA Division
Marlins 7, Braves 2
Marlins pitchers Niklas Ohlsson, Jaya Parisi and Mitchell Gaspar combined for a no-hitter that handed the first-place Braves their first loss of the year. Ohlsson battled wildness and walked in the Braves two runs with the bases loaded. Parisi recorded seven of his nine outs on strikeouts, while Gaspar struck out six of the seven batters he faced and went 2-for-2 at the plate with a two-run double.
Majors Division
Cardinals 12, Rangers 1 
The Cardinals scored nine in the bottom of the first and never looked back. A.J. Collishaw led the way, batting 4-for-4 with three runs scored; Jake Wiechmann had two doubles and a single and five RBIs; Reilly Merlo was 2-for-2 with a walk; and Georgia Parsons doubled and singled and drove in two.
Trevor Ponos led the Rangers with a 3-for-3 day, while Travis Lane doubled and Sawyer Stemm and Seth O’Brien both singled.
