Although a rain-soaked weekend cancelled many games, some games took place early in the week in both Scotts Valley and San Lorenzo Valley little league.

Diamondbacks 5, Red Sox 1
The D’backs were powered by a 3-for-3 performance by Graham Smith that included a triple, doubles from Nick Endres, Paul Hanson and Soren Burns and singles from Michael Arcangeli and Jonathan Bruce. Great defensive plays by Brendan Hull at third base helped the D’backs hold their lead into the late innings. Bryce Gundersen, Casey Collins and Grant Auman all singled for the Red Sox and Mikayla Coogan made a great grab of a towering fly to right field in the second inning.
