Dan Henning, 40 year resident of Boulder Creek announces that he played a role in a ‘coming of age’ movie that was shot in Santa Cruz and San Lorenzo Valley. The movie is about a high school graduate who overcomes tragedies and experiences personal triumphs when he takes a summer job with his art teacher selling pottery at a local Renaissance Faire.

The movie,” Play Faire,” will premier at Park Hall in Ben Lomond on September 4. “Numerous members of the cast will be in attendance,” promises Henning. The following day, Henning who teaches ceramics will be offering a ceramics workshop at Santa Cruz Mountains Art Center. “Sunday is the culmination of the weekend with the Art Center’s yearly ceramics extravaganza, Ceram-A-Rama,” said Henning, “It’s a free event, it features tallest pot competition, blindfolded throwing and kiln fired pizza to name a few of the events. All bowls generated at the event are donated to the Empty Bowls Project,” he said.
