The Coffis Brothers and The Mountain Men will release their second album upon their return to Don Quixote’s International Music Hall in Felton on February 22.
“We’re pretty happy to be able to release it at the place we started,” Jamie Coffis said. He and his younger brother Kellen, along with the Mountain Men, Henry Chadwick, Mason Hutchinson and Kyle Poppen make up the band.
The brothers have been a band now for four years and traveled across the country playing in Alaska, Massachusetts, New York, Wyoming, Idaho, and Southern California.
When they were young, they dreamed to one day play music, but only after college did they consider the option of a band.
The brothers added “The Mountain Men” to the band name because they felt that it gave recognition to the other band members.
One of their greatest joys is the opportunity to play in front of crowds and have people
that want to listen to their music.
“That’s kind of a nice blessing,” Jamie Coffis said. “We like to play and we like to write.” The Coffis Brothers said one of their biggest venues to date was the Salmonstock music festival in Alaska. Their music, they said, is inspired by rock-n-roll from the 1950s through the 80s, and is for all generations of people both young and old.
“All the stuff that we grew up with (listening to) with our parents,” Kellen Coffis said.
In addition to traveling and performing, the band will also provide music for a few weddings this summer, but their long-term plans may include a trip to Europe.
“Something we’ve been talking about for a long time is going to Europe; Europe is definitely on the list,” Jamie Coffis said. “We love traveling around and playing our music.”

The upcoming CD release show will open at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22 at Don Quixote’s, 6275 Highway 9 in Felton. Tickets are $10.
