Lynn Allen “Butch” Bachman of Boulder Creek died Dec. 3 at Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz at the age of 58.
He was born in Waterloo, Iowa, and graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1970.
Mr. Bachman moved to Boulder Creek more than 20 years ago and lived there ever since. He was known as the gatekeeper of Redwood Resort, where he lived.
Mr. Bachman is survived by his life partner, Bea Rey of Boulder Creek; brothers, Mike, Gary and John Bachman, all of Ohio; and sister Kay (Bachman) Zarifis, also of Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vivian and Paul Bachman.
Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, at Redwood Resort, 150 Grove St., in Boulder Creek.
