Former Bethany Bible College student Mary Louise Noble Hays died Friday, Dec. 9, at her home in Colorado Springs, Colo., with her husband at her side.
Mrs. Hays graduated from Colorado Springs High School in 1944 and from Bethany Bible College in Scotts Valley with her teaching credentials in 1973. She taught primarily first and second grades at Live Oak Elementary School in Santa Cruz until her retirement in 1993.
Mrs. Hays and her family were members of the Live Oak Community Methodist Church from 1964 until their move to Colorado in 1993.
Mrs. Hays is survived by her husband of 66 years, Wilmer “Wil” Hays of Colorado Springs; son, David Hays of Colorado Springs; daughter, Cheryl Hays of Tracy; a granddaughter, Janeen Bond of Boulder Creek; and three great-grandsons.
She is also survived by two of her 12 siblings, Sarah “Loraine” Jeffers McDowell of Grand Junction, Colo., and Robert Alan “Bob” Noble of Los Angeles.
A service is planned for Saturday, Dec. 17, at Calvary United Methodist Church in Colorado Springs.
