A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 15, in Felton for Mary Short, the mother of Felton woodworker Cliff Short. She was 95 when she died.
Mrs. Short, of Ventura, was married to Sam “Sciortino” Short on Sept. 11, 1933. She lived in Los Angeles for most of her life.
Mrs. Short is survived by five children, Angela Mae McHugh of Northridge, Clifford Samuel Short of Felton, James Anthony Short of Bonny Doon, Louise Bernedette Walton of Ventura and Christopher Paul Short of Camarillo; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Sam Short.
Mrs. Short donated her body to University of California, Los Angeles, for research into Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease.
A memorial mass will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John’s Catholic Church, 120 Russell Ave., in Felton.
