A celebration of life for longtime Scotts Valley resident Michael Thomas will be held at Twin Lakes Church on Saturday, April 30. Mr. Thomas died in Santa Cruz at the age of 57.
Mr. Thomas was born in Fresno to Karl and Ruth Thomas. He learned masonry as a young man and opened his own business more than 15 years ago. He lived in Scotts Valley for 31 years.
Mr. Thomas was an avid surfer and passed the passion to his sons. He also fished, hunted, camped, water-skied, scuba-dived and rode his Harley-Davidson.
He had traveled with friends and family to Mexico, Venice, Paris, Rome, Greece and all over the United States.
He is survived by his spouse, Pam Thomas of Scotts Valley; daughter, Cori DiMeo, and her husband, Ryan, of Santa Cruz; sons, Adam Thomas of Scotts Valley and Brian Thomas, and his wife, Leigha, of Santa Cruz; brother, Dave Thomas of Boise, Idaho; brother Tim Thomas of Jackson and Laurie Conner of Watsonville; two grandchildren; and eight nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Twin Lakes Church, 2701 Cabrillo College Drive, in Aptos.
