There were only minor injuries after a high-speed collision between two vans on Highway 17 southbound closed the fast lane for about an hour on Monday afternoon.
The collision occurred at about 3:30 p.m. between two vans traveling south just before the Granite Creek overpass.
One flipped onto its side, but the passengers appeared to be OK, after firefighters from Scotts Valley Fire District tended to them in the center divide.
Highway cleanup crews quickly cleaned the debris and removed the vehicles from the roadway in preparation for the 5 p.m. commute.
