Nick Vujicic was born without arms or legs. But the 26-year-old Australian has found a way to give his life meaning.
At age 15, Vujicic found faith in God, and his new beliefs changed the course of his life.
Using his only appendage, a left foot attached to his lower torso, Vujicic, who will visit Scotts Valley, learned to write, type, operate a computer and even play a synthesizer.
Vujicic now travels around the world, speaking about Jesus Christ and trying to inspire people with his own experiences.
He has visited more than 25 countries throughout the world and has spoken to millions of people, from the vice president of Kenya, to inmates at maximum-security prisons and villagers in developing countries. Vujicic has also been interviewed on “ABC News,” “20/20,” and the “Oprah Winfrey Show.”
Vujicic will speak at the Spirit West Coast Christian music festival Friday, July 31, and Aug. 1 before visiting Scotts Valley to deliver his story.
He will speak at 10 a.m. Aug. 2 at GateWay Bible Church, 5000 Granite Creek Road. There will also be an outdoor service, followed by a family barbecue.
