National Night Out, superintendent meet and greet tonight

**Scotts Valley residents can attend a meet-and-greet with new Scotts Valley Unified School District Superintendent from 6:30 to 8 p.m. tonight, Tuesday, Aug. 2 at Mint in Scotts Valley.
Mint is located in the Tree Circus Center at 4625 Scotts Valley Drive.
**Residents in the San Lorenzo Valley can attend the second annual National Night Out event put on by the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office. A full-blown festival with a jump house, food and law enforcement demonstrations will take place from 6 to 9 p.m., tonight, Tuesday, Aug. 2 at Highlands Park, 8500 Highway 9 in Ben Lomond.
Residents will also have the opportunity to learn about neighborhood watch programs and get to know local law enforcement.
