• Sean Eric Rooyakkers was born at 1:34 p.m. Oct. 15, 2009, to Mio (Obayashi) and Albertus Petrus Rooyakkers of Scotts Valley. He weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces at Sutter Maternity and Surgery Center in Santa Cruz.
• Ashton Cruz Eaton was born at 10:54 a.m. Oct. 15, 2009, to Amy Megan (Enos) and Ben Robert Eaton of Ben Lomond. He weighed 6 pounds, 10 ounces at Sutter Maternity and Surgery Center in Santa Cruz.
• Kaitlyn Marie Downing was born at 11:33 a.m. Oct. 18, 2009, to Alyssa Erin (Gibbs) and Aaron Forrest Downing of Santa Cruz. She weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces at Santa Cruz Dominican Hospital. Kaitlyn’s maternal grandparents, Fred and Gretchen Gibbs, live in Bonny Doon.
