Highway 9 closure looms
A full closure of Highway 9 about 2 miles north of the Highway 1 intersection in Santa Cruz is scheduled to begin Monday, June 7.
Preparation for the closure began last week, and the narrow roadway will be closed to traffic for three to five months while contractor Gordon N. Ball of Alamo completes work to make the roadway more stable. Cyclists and walkers will not be able to use the road, either.
