Loch Lomond guided tour time extended
The City of Santa Cruz Water Department announced this week that monthly tours offered at Loch Lomond Recreation Area will be extended by two hours, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The additional time is being made available for those interested in ranger-led guided hikes.
Loch Lomond Recreation Area is closed in 2015 for the second year in a row, as a result of the drought gripping most of California.
The recreation area is only accessible during monthly guided tours, offered the last Saturday of the month. The next tour available is this Saturday, April 25.
Tours are free of charge and available on a first-come basis by reservation only, and include natural history interpretation as well as access to scenic walking trails. For more information and to reserve space on a tour, visit www.cityofsantacruz.com/lochlomondtours, call 335-7424 or email [email protected] to the public. Reservations are required.
